The Alaska Nanooks men's and women's cross country running teams had this past weekend off as they prepare to head back to Oregon and race at the Charles Bowles Invite, hosted by Willamette University in Salem. Prior to their bye, the 'Nooks saw the men finish 9
th at the Sundowner Invite and the women finish 10
thplace at the same event. The time and map of the race are still TBD and will be posted later in the week on race day.Â

LAST WEEK: Blue vs. Gold | THIS WEEK: vs. Denver (10/5-6)
The Alaska Nanooks hockey team will open up their 2019-20 season this upcoming weekend against the University of Denver. Last weekend, the 'Nooks unofficially opened their season with their annual Blue vs. Gold game. The Blue team pulled out the win, 5-1 over the Gold squad. This weekends games on Oct. 5-6 will start at 7:07 p.m. AKT and 5:07 p.m. AKT and will be available on FloHockey.tv ($).

THIS WEEK: San Diego State | NEXT WEEK: Alumni Meet
The Alaska Nanooks swim team will finish up their first weekend on Monday, Sept. 30 against San Diego State. They fell in their season opener on Sunday, Sept. 29 and look to rebound. Next weekend the swim team will have a bye week, however on Oct. 4 they will be hosting their annual Alumni meet at the Patty Center Pool at 5:00 p.m.

Rifle 2-0, 2-0 PRC
LAST WEEK: UTEP (W,W) | NEXT WEEK: vs. Ohio State
The Alaska Nanooks rifle team defeated the University of Texas at El Paso this past weekend to open up their 2019-20 season. Next Friday, Oct. 11, Alaska will host the Ohio State University at 9 a.m. in the Patty Center at the E.F. Horton Rifle Range.Â

Volleyball 7-5, 4-0 GNAC
LAST WEEK: vs. UAA (W) vs. MSUB (W) | THIS WEEK: vs. NNU (10/3) vs. CWU (10/5)
The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team is coming off of their home openers, winning both games over in-state rival, Alaska Anchorage and Montana State, Billings. These wins earned the Nanooks the GNAC Team of the Week honors and also earned
Cate Whiting the GNAC Offensive Player of the Week after her performance in both games. The Nanooks take on Northwest Nazarene and Central Wash. this week as they look to stay undefeated.Â
