After splitting with Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific two weeks ago at the Alaska/Hawaii Challenge in Anchorage, the Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team will host two nonconference matchups against the Holy Names Hawks on Monday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Nov. 21 at the Alaska Airlines Court. Tip-off in Fairbanks is scheduled for 7pm AKST on both nights. The Nooks will then travel to Bellingham, Washington to compete in the 2017 Western Washington University Chuck Randall Thanksgiving Classic on Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25. Alaska will take on Capilano University on Friday before facing the UC San Diego Tritons on Saturday at the Carver Gymnasium. Both Friday and Saturday's game are scheduled to kick-off at 1:30pm AKST.

The Alaska Nanooks hockey team continued their four-game homestand this week after splitting the weekend with the then-No. 20th-ranked Northern Michigan Wildcats last weekend. Alaska will host the Michigan Tech Huskies in a two-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association series this Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25 at the Carlson Center.

Ravn Alaska Nanooks of the Week (Nov. 20)
On Monday, the Alaska Nanooks Sports Information Office declared junior forward Ashlie Blackburn (women's basketball) and sophomore goaltender Niko DellaMaggiore (hockey) the Nov. 20 selections for the female and male Ravn Alaska Nanooks of the Week, respectively, for their performances on the court and on the ice last weekend.

Ashlie Blackburn (Jr. | F | Douglas, Wyoming)
Blackburn's efforts helped the Nanooks tremendously throughout the weekend, as the Nanooks split with Western State and Holy Names at the Seawolves Hoops Classic in Anchorage last Friday and Saturday. Blackburn shot 4-for-12 from the field and 3-for-4 from the free throw line to combine for 11 points throughout the weekend, but also tallied 18 rebounds and four blocks to be named to the All-Tournament Team on Saturday.

Niko DellaMaggiore (So. | G | Gilroy, California)
DellaMaggiore backstopped the Nanooks to splitting the weekend against the then-No. 20th-ranked Northern Michigan Wildcats this past weekend in Fairbanks. DellaMaggiore made his official collegiate debut in the second period of Friday's 5-3 loss, collecting 10 saves in 25:42 minutes and allowed no goals against before going 57:57 without allowing a goal in Saturday's 3-1 victory, registering .952 save percentage in the game and making 20 saves. DellaMaggiore led all conference goaltenders in save percentage this weekend with a .968 and totaling a goals against average of 0.70.

SAAC Teddy Bear Toss Scheduled for Nov. 25 Hockey Game
The Alaska Nanooks Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has selected the Nov. 25 hockey game versus Michigan Tech as the night for their annual Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring new or slightly used stuffed animals to throw on the ice at intermission. The stuffed animals will be collected and donated to Santa's Helpers to give to children around the area during the holiday season.

Almost all of Alaska Nanooks volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball games (home and away, conference only) can be followed through live stats or watched live through the Alaska Nanooks Stretch Internet Portal free of charge.

All men's ice hockey games (home and away) can be heard live on ESPN 820 AM Fairbanks or at 820sports.com. Additionally, fans have the option to watch home games or away conference contests for a small fee at WCHA.tv.
