AUSTIN, Texas – Senior marksman Ryan Anderson was named to the Capital One Academic All-America® At Large first team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) onThursday.

"Ryan has had incredible success both on the range and in the classroom in his career," said Director of Athletics Dr. Gary Gray. "To be named a Capital One Academic All-American two years in a row is a great achievement and we are proud to have been able to call him a Nanook."
Anderson, who graduated with a 3.91 GPA while studying biological sciences, was a Capital One Academic All-District® Team and Second Team Academic All-America® member as a sophomore in 2013 and as a junior last season. This past campaign, Anderson earned second place in the individual smallbore finals at the NCAA Championships, was named to the CRCA All-American First team, and was also named First Team All-American in both air rifle and smallbore by the NRA. Anderson's score at the NCAA Championships qualified him for the USA Development Team.
