FAIRBANKS,Alaska — Friday's evening clash in the pool between two top-15 teams saw six Patty Center Pool records fall, but it was Cal Baptist who came away with the dual meet victory, 123-86, over the Alaska women's swimming team.

Cal Baptist (7-1) took the top spot in eight of 11 events Friday and set five Patty Center Pool records en route to the team victory. The Lancers kicked off the meet with a pool-record swim in the 400-yard medley relay, trimming the facility mark by more than five seconds with a time of 3 minutes, 52.16 seconds. The Nanooks (5-8) were also under the previous pool record, finishing second in 3:57.06.

Margot Adams (Anchorage, Alaska/Political Science) broke her own Patty Center Pool record in the 100 butterfly with a winning time of 56.51, clipping her previous record of 56.55 from Oct. 13, 2012, by 4 tenths of a second.

Victoria Adams (Anchorage, Alaska/Accounting), was the only other individual winner for the Nanooks (5-8) Friday. She finished first in the 100 backstroke, winning by over three seconds in 58.15.

Alaska also grabbed a relay victory in the 800 free relay.

Gabi Summers (Cheyenne, Wyo./Foreign Language) and
Danielle Lyons (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan/Biological Sciences), and freshman
Kathryn Pound (Pahiatua, New Zealand/Business Administration) all contributed to the Nanooks' winning time of 7:54.41.

CBU's Mary Hanson set two individual pool records with a winning time of 23.88 in the 50 freestyle and 51.69 in the 100 free. Alena Rumiantceva set another Lancers pool record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.03.

Patricia Hapsari was Cal Baptist's other pool record setter on Friday, turning in a new mark in the 200 individual medley in 2:07.80. That broke
Victoria Adams' record from earlier this season of 2:09.00. Adams was under that mark Friday as well, finishing second in 2:08.56.

Alaska takes on Cal Baptist again at noon Saturday at the Patty Center Pool in its final home meet of the season and last dual meet of the year before heading to the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference championships next month.
