No. 1 Rifle Completes Road Trip with 46-Point Win at No. 10 TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas
– The top-ranked rifle team rounded out it two-match road trip with another victory, shooting two points off the program and season-best score with a 4692-4646 win against No. 10 Texas Christian Saturday at the TCU Rifle Range.
 
The Nanooks (4-0) fired a 2331 in smallbore and a 2361 in air rifle while the Horned Frogs (0-2) shot a 2318 in smallbore and 2328 in air gun.
 
Junior Ryan Anderson (Great Falls, Va./Biological Sciences) led the 'Nooks with a match-best 589 in smallbore while senior Mike Liuzza (New Orleans, La./Business Administration) shot a personal-best and match-high 593 in air rifle.

Also in smallbore, sophomore Tim Sherry (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mechanical Engineering) turned in a 587, which is eight better than his performance on Thursday, and sophomore Lorelie Stanfield (Fairbanks, Alaska/English) fired a 580. Also on the score sheet, junior Mats Eriksson (Malung, Sweden/Business Administration) had a 575. Liuzza added a 574 while rookie Dan Geer (Colorado Springs, Colo./Business Administration) contributed a 565.
 
On the air rifle side, Eriksson and Anderson shot identical 590's and Sherry had a 587 to complete the team's discipline score. Geer also had a 587 while Stanfield performed much better in air gun with a 584, which is 21 better than two days ago.
 
For TCU, Megan Lee led the team in both disciplines with a 584 in smallbore and a 590 in air rifle.
 
The Nanooks will return home to prepare for a pair of matches coming up Nov. 22-23 at the E.F.Horton Rifle Range against Kentucky.
