Rifle Reclaims Top Spot in Nation, Heads to JSU and TCU this Week

FAIRBANKS – After spending the previous two weeks at the No. 2 spot in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association poll, Alaska was bumped back to the top spot in the newest poll released today as No. 1 rifle program hits the road this week against to shoot against a pair of top-10 teams in No. 7 Jacksonville State and No. 10 Texas Christian.

The Nanooks (2-0) will be in Jacksonville, Ala., to take on the Gamecocks Thursday from the Gamecock Rifle Range and they will wrap up the road trip Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas, against the Horned Frogs at the TCU Rifle Range. Thursday's match will begin at 2 p.m. (CST) while Saturday's match is set for a 9 a.m. (CST) start.
