Alaska Swimmers Finish at Championships

CANTON, OH - Junior Mariya Pavlovskaya (Korolev City, Russia) completed the three-peat by earning another Honorable Mention All-American honor in the 200-yard backstroke in the final day of competition at the Division II swimming championships in Canton, Ohio.

Pavlovskaya finished the prelims ranked 12th with a time of 2:04.46 and placed 14th in the finals with a time of 2:04.19 for her third Honorable Mention All-American honor.  Her finals time was over four seconds better than her previous fastest time this season.

Pavlovskaya also earned honors in the 200 and 400-yard IM, giving her a career total of six All-American honors.

Senior Felina Rosadiuk (Fairbanks, AK) swam a prelim time of 53.08 in the 100-yard freestyle, good for 33rd place out of the 74 swimmers.

Alaska finished with 18 team points, good for 28th place out of the 40 teams that competed at championships.
