COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The No. 1 ranked Alaska Nanooks rifle team remained unbeaten this season, as they defeated the Air Force Academy Thursday, 4,638-4,601.
Junior Patrik Sartz led the match in both guns, shooting a 591/600 in the air rifle and 581 in the smallbore. Sophomore Ida Petersen was second in the air rifle with a 581, while William Galligan shot a 577 and Cody Rutter a 576 to round out the Blue and Gold's scoring team. In smallbore, Rutter was second best for Alaska with a 580, followed by Jace Bures with a 578 and Galligan's 574.
For the Falcons, Tom Chandler was the top shooter, who scored a 589/600 in air rifle and 579 in smallbore. Sarah Martin had the next highest air rifle score of 583. Mike Seery followed Chandler with a 576/600 in smallbore.
