A team from Great Northwest Inc. fired an 18-hole net score of 50.4 this past weekend to win the 2004 IBEW Nanook Scholarship Scramble at the North Star Country Club. The 20th annual handicapped tournament is held as a fundraiser for the athletic department at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
John Minder teamed up with Tom Mulka, Tom Minder, Bill Renfrew and Rick Boyles to take the championship. K & L Distributors, represented by Brad DeWeese, Bill Bubbel, Kip Harmon, Erich Bubbel and Jeff Hammermeister, finished second with an 18-hole total of 52. Seekins Ford was third with a 54. Members of that team included: George Roderick, Matt Hays, Joan Roderick, John Lohrke and Dennis Forslund.
