The University of Alaska Fairbanks Seven-time NCAA National Championship Rifle Team will be featured national television this Sunday, April 18.
A total of 15 championships will be featured Sunday on the national Emmy nominated CBS Sports NCAA seasonal show. The 60-minute show will be hosted by veteran CBS announcer Bonnie Bernstein and will air Sunday at 9 a.m. AST.
The program titled CBS Presents Championships of the NCAA first debuted in December 2002. This will be the fifth CBS seasonal show to air in the past 16 months and will feature highlights and behind-the-scene access at various 2004 NCAA winter championships including Skiing, Rifle, Fencing and numerous Division II and III events.
Some of the featured stories will include the Division III Montclair indoor track and field team, Division II Missouri Truman State swimming and diving team, Division III Loras College wrestling team and the Notre Dame fencing team. The 2004 winter seasonal show is being produced by CBS staff producer Bryan Lilley.
The 2004 NCAA championships spring highlights show is tentatively scheduled to air on Saturday, July 3 at 4 p.m. Eastern time.
