Matt Rawlings from Wharton, Texas has signed a National Letter of Intent to shoot with the 5-Time Defending NCAA National Champion University of Alaska Fairbanks Rifle Team.
Rawlings recently took top honors in both air rifle and smallbore rifle events at the Junior Olympic Rifle Championships (JORC) held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado from April 9-14.
At the JORC, Rawlings dominated the air rifle competition, finishing 10 points above the second place finisher over the two-day competition. In smallbore rifle, Rawlings again walked away from the competition finishing 15 points ahead of the silver medallist...who was his future UAF teammate Matt Wallace.
