The Nanooks hit the road for the first round of the CCHA playoffs on Tuesday morning, but by Friday, it appeared that the team didn't show up. Michigan State defeated the Nanooks by a score of 11-1.
MSU sophomore Brock Radunske had a hat trick while Jim Slater and Ash Goldie each recorded two goals while Kevin Estrada, Colton Fretter, David Booth and Lee Falardeau also scored for the Spartans on the way to the win.
UAF's lone goal came of the stick of Scott Vockeroth who put the puck in the net at 3:09 in the second period.
These two teams face each other again on Saturday afternoon in Michigan.
