Biography

2011-12 as a sophomore: 29th in 1,650 freestyle and raced in three other events at 2012 PCSC Championships...Two top-three finishes in dual meets this season...Fall 2011 Academic Walk honoree.

2010-11 as a freshman: Perkins had a great first season for the Nanooks, swimming whatever the team needed her to and improving just about everything; Perkins started her season with lifetime best swims in the 100 Backstroke the first meet-series of the season against the University of Nebraska Omaha; at the PCSC Championships Perkins scored points for the Nanooks in the 400 IM with a 22nd place finish and a lifetime best of 5:11.68 and in the 200 Backstroke with a 24th place finish and a season best of 2:25.63; she also swam a season best in the 200 IM with time of 2:28.51; recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

Prior to Alaska: Four year member of North Pole HS Swim Team; a part of the 2007 Region Champion team; member of Midnight Sun Swim Team.

Personal: Daughter of Robert and Jeanne Perkins; major is currently undecided, but Perkins is planning to eventually join the medical field.
