What is the mission of the Junior Nanooks Club?
The mission of the Junior Nanooks Club is to provide a fun and exciting club for young Alaska Nanook fans, that will provide an exciting venue for youth to become involved with the Alaska Nanooks as spectators and energetic fans, as well as to promote positive athletic role-models.
Why should you join the Junior Nanooks Club?
For a $25 yearly membership fee, club members get privileged access to exclusive Junior Nanooks gear, free admission to select home games, a Birthday card from the Nanooks, an official membership certificate, quarterly newsletters, invitations to special members-only activities with coaches, student-athletes, mascots, team posters and schedule cards, and much more.
How do you join?
Registration forms are available HERE, at the UAF Patty Center ticket office, and at Alaska Nanooks home events. Complete forms and mail, fax, or hand deliver to the UAF Patty Center ticket office. The Patty Center ticket office accepts cash, check, or credit card.
Is there a maximum or minimum age for club members?
Members must be in the 8th grade or below due to NCAA recruiting regulations.
How do the Junior Nanooks Club Birthday parties work?
Any Junior Nanook Club member can have a Birthday party at any Alaska Nanook home event. Simply call (907) 474-6830 and reserve the party room a minimum 72 hours in advance and submit a guest list. The birthday party will cost admission to the game plus $5 per party guest. Each party will include pizza, drinks, and dessert.
What is Fairbanks Youth Sports involvement with the Junior Nanooks Club?
Fairbanks Youth Sports is the founding sponsor organization that made the Junior Nanooks Club possible.
How do you know which games are Junior Nanooks Club events?
Each Junior Nanooks Club event will be outlined in the quarterly membership newsletters. Events not included in the newsletters will be sent to members via email.
How often do you get the Junior Nanooks Newsletter?
Quarterly: 1st quarter January-March, 2nd April-June, 3rd July-September, 4th October-December.
Is admission to hockey games included in the membership?
Yes. A membership includes free admission to SELECT hockey, men's and women's basketball, volleyball, swimming, and rifle matches or games.
Do parents/guardians/friends who come with their child have to buy a ticket?
YES. Only Junior Nanooks Club members will receive free admission to predetermined games. All non-Junior Nanooks Club members must purchase a ticket.
How long is the membership good for?
A Junior Nanooks Club membership is good from August 1-July 31 of that academic year. If a child's membership registration form is received on November 2, 2007; it will be good until July 31, 2008.
I have multiple children; do I have to fill out a separate registration form for each child?
YES please.
How will you receive your membership materials?
All membership materials shall be received via mail 2 TO 4 WEEKS after completed registration form is received by the Alaska Nanooks promotions and marketing department.
