FAIRBANKS, AK - For the second consecutive match, the No. 3 Alaska Nanooks shot for the best team score in the nation's en route to their second victory in as many days and a weekend sweep of the visiting No. 10 Air Force Falcons. The Blue and Gold out scored the visitors 4688-4608.
Senior
Patrik Sartz (Stora Sundby, Sweden) came up big in both guns, notching match-highs in smallbore (590) and air rifle (596). His smallbore score was also a career-high. Also turning in stellar match performances for the Nanooks were junior
Cody Rutter (Palmyra, PA) and freshman
Dustin Chesebro (Laramie, WY). Rutter fired the second best smallbore score of the day with a 587, while Chesebro turned in another solid air gun showing with a 594.
