The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced Tuesday that senior center Dion Knelsen (Three Hills, AB, Drumheller (AJHL)) is one of twelve outstanding student-athletes designated as their team's 2009-10 Scholar-Athlete of the Year. For Knelsen, it is his first time being selected as the program’s nominee for the CCHA Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
